The new position, which will report to EPE’s president, will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating new fund-raising and sponsorship programs to meet current and long-range revenue projections. Ability to manage and cultivate relationships, strategic-thinking skills, a proven record of prospecting and securing foundation and corporate underwriting, and a strong interest in media and publishing required.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic self-starter with exemplary communications skills. Must be highly organized, results-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, and work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization. Expertise in Web-based fund-raising a plus. Some travel required.

The Editorial Projects in Education Research Center seeks a bright, energetic Research Associate to join its dynamic team. Editorial Projects in Education (EPE) is the non-profit organization that publishes Education Week, Teacher Magazine, and edweek.org. The EPE Research Center conducts annual policy surveys, collects data, and performs analyses that appear in the Quality Counts, Technology Counts, and Diplomas Count annual reports of Education Week. The Center also contributes data and analysis to special coverage in EPE publications, conducts independent studies, publishes the monthly Research Connections Newsletter, hosts live web chats on research topics, and maintains the Education Counts and EdWeek Maps online data resources.
Research Associates engage in all major activities of the Research Center, which include: conducting literature reviews, drafting instruments for our annual state policy survey, interacting with state officials and vetting survey responses, collecting and analyzing data, developing content for annual reports and the Center’s Website, writing research reports and briefs, communicating findings to the public, and managing research interns to support the Center’s work. Editorial Projects in Education, publisher of Education Week and Teacher Magazine, has an opening for a fall intern to work in the EPE library. This is a temporary, part-time paid position, 10-16 hours per week.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic not-for-profit organization and gain focused, supportive training and professional experience in the field of special librarianship. Working closely with the EPE librarians, the intern will participate in providing information services to support the activities of an energetic and dedicated staff of reporters, editors, and web and research professionals. Routine responsibilities will center on general library functions with opportunities to gain additional experience, as described below.
• Provide occasional research and reference support for staff.
• Respond to reference requests from outside clients.
• Assist in book and serial cataloging, check-in and light shelving of materials in the library.
Additional Opportunities for Specialized Professional Experience:
