American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education

The AACTE is the national voice for approximately 715 member colleges and universities in all the states and U.S. territories. The AACTE offers affiliate membership to community and junior colleges; foreign colleges and universities that prepare teachers; state, regional, or local educational agencies; professional organizations and societies; and research and development centers and laboratories. The AACTE helps its members move toward improved quality and diversification of services. It encourages members to develop forward-looking program development. It organizes and participates in national and international forums. The AACTE is the only national voluntary association for higher education institutions devoted to teacher education.
